How to create a contract?




This guide explains how to create a contract for an owned vessel with its own voyage. 



Start by selecting the operations in the main menu.

Step 1: Click on Contracts.

Step 2: At the top right corner, you'll find a button "+create contract", click on it.

Step 3: Select the vessel with the current estimate ID from the list.

Some fields will auto-populate with the details entered when creating the estimate. 


Step 4: Select the ownership ID.

Step 5: Enter a voyage number.

Step 6: Choose the ops coordinator from the list.

Step 7: Verify the port itinerary details as per the CP.

Step 8: Click on Save.

The contract is now created and listed on this page.

Update the parameters as per actuals to monitor the PnL. For example, if the estimated next day is one day, but it is two days, update this and click on Save.

increasesYou'll notice that the demurrage value is increased in the actual column and the difference in the variance and variance % columns. You can use this actual information, along with the Estimate, to determine reasons for any variances and see how well you estimated or what you might be able to improve.



The cash flow tab lists all the upcoming payments.

It also includes bills and invoices. Any created or linked bills will be listed on the respective tab.

We also have the laytime calculation details. On the top, we have the CII grade button, which allows you to calculate the CII rating based on your inputs.

The carbon emission tab provides the total ETS cost.

Additionally, there's an option to delete the contract if needed.
