In Marlo, Voyage types show how a vessel is being used—whether it’s carrying cargo or being rented out. This helps users plan costs, earnings, and reports correctly. Selecting the right voyage type is crucial for accurate estimates and seamless operations.

You operate your owned vessel and carry cargo for a customer under a voyage charter.

Freight Invoice

OV-TCO

Owned Vessel – Time Charter Out

You charter out your owned vessel to a third party under a time charter.

Hire Invoice

TCI-VCO

Time Charter In – Voyage Charter Out

You charter in a vessel and then deploy it for a voyage charter to carry a third party’s cargo.

Freight Invoice

TCI-TCO

Time Charter In – Time Charter Out

You charter in a vessel and charter it out again under a time charter agreement.

Where to Configure in Marlo


Path: Chartering > Estimates > Create/Edit Estimate

Select Voyage Type at the start of the estimation. This selection cannot be changed after the estimate is fixed.
