This guide provides step-by-step instructions to create an estimate for Owned Vessel Owned Voyage (OVOV).
Step 1: Begin by clicking on the chartering in the main menu.
Step 2: Proceed to click on the estimate.
Step 3: Locate the Create Worksheet option at the top right corner of the screen.
Step 4: By default, the estimate workspace opens in column view. You can switch to tab view by clicking on the Tab View button at the top right corner.
Step 5: Set up the vessel from the list you have created (How to create a vessel). Some vessel details will be updated automatically.
Step 6: Choose the ballast port and reposition port.
Step 7: Choose the commencing date. If there are any revenue or expenses, enter them.
Step 8: Move to the Bunker section and include the current fuel price for each fuel type.
In the cargo section:
Step 9: Input the cargo name, specify the quantity, enter the option percentage, and select the option type. Choose the freight type and rate. Finally, specify the payment terms.
Next, let's move on to the port itinerary details.
Review the ports and their functionality.
Now, you'll see the estimated P&L for this voyage. This provides a snapshot of the expected profitability, helping you understand the production revenue cost and the overall profit or loss.
Review the estimated duration, cost, and route for the voyage. If necessary, adjust any input parameters.
Once all details are completed, click Save. The estimate is now created.
Let's move on to the column view.
Add or edit multiple estimate columns in the worksheet by clicking on the Clone button.
Step 10: Evaluate options, select an intended estimate, and save to show the rationale behind your decision.
